Barton County, Kansas, is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to provide monthly pest control and extermination services for Barton County owned buildings as specified.

Project Requirements
Barton County is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to provide monthly pest control and extermination services for Barton County buildings for calendar year 2025 with an option to extend for two years. Pest control services shall include monthly spraying for insects of the interior and exterior of the covered location. Spraying services will be performed during regular business hours unless prior arrangements have been made.

Barton County buildings requiring pest control are the Barton County Courthouse, Sheriff’s Office and Detention Facility, Health Department, Office Building, Road and Bridge and Noxious Weed departments, all located in Great Bend, Kansas.

Vendors submitting proposals shall provide the following:
• Proof of liability insurance in an amount not less than $1,000,000.00 (one million dollars).
• Proof that the vendor has worker’s compensation coverage as required by Kansas law.
• A specimen contract provided by the vendor that shows all pest control and extermination services the vendor intends to perform.

Award
It is anticipated that the Commission will review bids on November 5th, 2024 and award at their next regular agenda meeting.

Other
For bid projects totaling over $5,000.00, contractor must provide a copy of (their) non-discrimination policy along with RFP submission.
For bid projects totaling over $100,000.00, a performance bond is required of successful contractor.
Total bid amount must include any fees, shipping or applicable taxes. Fees, shipping or applicable taxes applied after award of bid will not be honored by Barton County.
