Question 1

Posted: 2/4/2025

Question: This was listed as a mandatory pre-bid but you had no sign in sheet or agenda handout. I only saw three contractors that walked the site with you. Can you confirm please. A Eilers Construction and you have my card. Focal Point Coatings. Stonehard. Additionally, I had requested for you to check on a set of building plans that we could scale the square footage from. Please advise if this is possible or we will have to do a much more detailed site visit for dimensions and conditions.

Response: Business cards were collected from vendors that were in attendance at the meeting. We do not have building plans to scale. The contractors had the opportunity to physically measure the areas while they were there.

Question 2

Posted: 2/10/2025

Question: This was brought to my attention after the walk-thru. Would it be possible to walk the project and get measurements for the flooring?

Response: If you need to measure the area again email me at ddudley@hazelwoodschools.org or contact me via phone at (314) 953-5930

Question 3

Posted: 2/12/2025

Question: In the flooring specification, #8 states that Series 248 Everthane is to be applied at 1/8". This cannot be correct, as Tnemec's product data sheet lists that the maximum thickness that this can be applied is 3.5 mils (which would be .0035" thick, while 1/8" or .125). Clear sealers like 248 are always applied very thin, and do very little when discussing the total system thickness. You call out for the total system thickness to be 3/8"(1/4" + 1/8"), which would usually mean the system build would be the epoxy mortar applied at 1/4" and then the quartz broadcast system applied at 1/8". I believe that the correct system build here would be a total thickness of 5/16", which would have the epoxy mortar system applied at 3/16" and then the quartz system applied at 1/8". Please confirm the exact system build to be applied, as the current specified system is not feasible. Thanks!

Response: The correct application thickness should be 1/8" of 237 Power Tread mortar coat, 1/8' minimum thickness of broadcast coat (222 Deco-Tread), and 3 mils of clear coat (Series 248 Everthane).
