Overview: On October 19, 2022, City of Avondale (“City”) received two (2) bids for the above-referenced Invitation for Bids. The City has determined that Allied Waste Transportation Inc. DBA: Republic Services of Phoenix submitted the lowest responsive, responsible bid. Therefore, pursuant to city Code Ordinance 25-17(h), City intends to recommend the award of the contract to Allied Waste Transportation Inc. DBA: Republic Services of Phoenix.

Question: Can the bins be 16 feet long still capable of a minimum 10 ton capacity?
Response: Please provide the complete manufacturer's specifications to the bin in question. We need to understand the length, width and side wall height to have a chance at making this determination.

Question: Just following up on my previous question "Can the bins be 16 feet long still capable of a minimum 10 ton capacity?" The bins we would be using are 16 feet long, 5 feet tall and 8 feet wide.
Response: After evaluating the position of the three outlets on the conveyors at the Solids Handling Facility, the City has determined that a roll-off bin 16 FT in length will not be acceptable. The three outlets are 8 ft apart. Therefore, to avoid any spillages, a bin that is 16 ft would have to be repositioned each time to fill the mound from end outlets. The extra work to reposition the bin will not be efficient for the operation.
