Question: Will contractors be allowed to submit remediation pricing if it’s determined the landscape beds are not up to a maintainable standard?
Response: Can Rotolo elaborate where they feel deficiencies are occurring? I will certainly entertain a one-time clean up fee however, I feel the current provider is meeting our expectations.

Response: The Contractor shall have adequate backup equipment in reserve to allow for breakdowns. Insufficient equipment shall be cause for rejection of any and all bids. A list of equipment may be requested by the City.

Response: A Schedule of Services is not required at bid submittal. A schedule of services will be established with the selected vendor.

Question: It is stated that some locations will need to be services at certain times and other locations may have limited access. Can you please provide a schedule at which we’ll be able to service each property?
Response: Conroe Aquatic Center is best to complete services on Fridays between 9AM to 11AM to minimize disruptions to Aquatic programming. Oscar Johnson, Jr. Community Center is best completed prior to 2PM before the Afterschool programming begins. During summer months, it is best completed on summer camp field trip days (typically Wednesday or Thursday) to minimize disruptions to summer camp programs. Limited access refers to some locations with service areas behind security gates. Arrangements will be made to provide access to selected vendor for these areas.

Response: The contract specifies hardwood shredded mulch. Mulch shall be consistent for all beds and locations.

Response: The contractor is required to maintain areas by chemical, pulling or chopping methods to achieve “weed and grass free for the duration of the contract”. There are no number of pre-emergent or post-emergent applications specified. The contractor shall not exceed label application rate of the product being used. Weed Control – Tree wells, landscape beds (including signage beds) and decomposed granite areas shall remain weed and grass free for the duration of this contract.
