Description: Sealed bids for the Renovations to the Third Floor at 124 W. Main Street will be received by the City Clerk of the City of Prattville in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 101 W Main St, Prattville, AL 36067, until 2:00 PM CST on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at which time publicly opened and read aloud at said location.

A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting shall be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. CST in the Council Chambers at City Hall. General contractors are required to visit the site and examine conditions prior to submitting a proposal.

The principal items of work are approximate as follows:

Demolition, new stud framing, walls, flooring, painting, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work.

The project shall be completed within one hundred (100) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed issuance date.
This project shall be bid excluding taxes. To be eligible for consideration, bids must be submitted on complete original proposals made available by the Architects. Bid documents (including drawings, plans, specifications, and proposals) may be viewed online and downloaded at www.mckeeassoc.com and selecting "Project Bid List". Documents published through this procedure are the only documents endorsed by the Architect. The Architect retains ownership and copyrights of the documents. For printed sets, please submit requests to mckeeplans@gmail.com, include your first & last name, company name, address, phone number, and the project name and number. Printed sets are to be returned, in reusable condition, within ten days after bid opening. No bid documents will be distributed later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled opening of bids. All REIs and RFAs regarding the bid documents shall be sent and addressed through emails found on the RFI and RFA forms in the project manual. NOTE: ONLY THE RFI AND RFA FORMS IN THE PROJECT MANUAL WILL BE ACCEPTED. The Architect will not accept inquiries via telephone or fax.

A certified check or Bid Bond payable to the City of Prattville, Alabama, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00, must accompany each of the bidder's separate sealed proposal. Check or bid bond shall be provided as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within fourteen (14) days after notice of award of Contract to them. The successful bidder will be required to submit a 100% performance bond and a 50% payment bond. Performance and Payment Bonds shall be from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Alabama to act as surety. Contractors are required to apply for all permits (City of Prattville local permit fees will be waived).

Each bidder must be licensed as a Contractor in the State of Alabama in accordance with provisions of Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, and must submit with this bid satisfactory evidence of such license.

The right to reject any or all proposals or bids and to disregard any minor irregularities is reserved. No Bidder may withdraw their bid within ninety days from the date set for receiving the bids.

All bids and proposals SHALL be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the Bidder, Bidder’s license number, license expiration date, category, address, and name of the project. Envelopes containing bids and proposals must be addressed as follows, and delivered to:
