Description: Dorchester County Water and Sewer (DCWS) is seeking quotes for pricing and availability for all items listed in attached quote form. These items are needed for the Pump Station No. 33 Rehabilitation project, which will have 6” piping.

• All items need to be Domestic when a product manufacturer is not specified for a specific item.
• All Flanged items are to be ANSI Class 125.
• All DI pipes and fittings are to be Tnemec 431 interior lined unless noted as another.
• All items must be available and delivered WITHIN 8 WEEKS OF RECEIPT OF PURCHASE ORDER. Please do not submit a quote if this requirement cannot be met.

Since US Pipe's Permox and America Pipe's Tnemec are both leading Domestic Ductile Iron Pipe producers, the County will allow the Permox CTF on this project. This could possibly result in faster deliveries and lower costs. Pricing for exterior pipe coating is not needed because the vendor and product have already been selected for this service.

Question 2: Do the plug valves on this job need to be domestic? There might be an issue with lead-times if they need to be domestic.

Answer 2: Please provide quotes and lead-times for both domestic and imported plug valves. Imported plug valves may be accepted as long as they meet the same requirements listed in solicitation. 100% Full Port, Handwheel and the Flange-to-Flange dimensions/ lay length will need to be the same as the two manufacturers requested under 6” Plug Valves.

Question: I am requesting that Permox CTF be named an acceptable ductile iron lining alternative to Tnemec. It has been successfully used for previous Dorchester County projects and we can meet your timeline. I am not sure if there is any ductile located in a wetwell. If so, I would recommend an exterior coating of Permox 9043 Type II.

Response: Since US Pipe's Permox and America Pipe's Tnemec are both leading Domestic Ductile Iron Pipe producers, the County will allow the Permox CTF on this project. This could possibly result in faster deliveries and lower costs. The vendor and product have already been selected for providing the exterior coating.
