Response: We do not have an example to share. The RFP states in the Scope of Work #7 - Following completion of the limited lead in drinking water screening, two (2) hardcopies and one (1) electronic (.pdf format) copy of each report (each facility/building) will be delivered to the owner within 30 days of receipt of lab results. Each report will contain the following: Sample location maps (including locations of each water source sampled in each facility); Location and concentration of lead in water, per area sampled, as compared to State of Missouri’s recommended Action Levels; and Recommendations for additional activities, as necessary. A summary report for public dissemination.

Question 7

Posted: 1/30/2024

Question: What procedure is being used to flush the taps prior to the stagnation period (run for a set amount of time, run until the water is cold, run until field parameters such as temperature and pH stabilize)?

Response: Flushing will be conducted in accordance with the EPA recommendations: "EPA does not recommend flushing for the sole purpose of sampling but rather as a regular practice to ensure the water is regularly moving. Flushing right before sampling may cause results showing lower than representative lead levels in the water. Flushing is only appropriate during sampling when conducting follow-up flush sampling or sequential sampling to identify potential lead concerns in the interior plumbing. " On follow up testing we will also rely on the EPA suggestions for flushing for follow up sampling.
