Question: Currently the lighting fixtures are supported above ceiling with grid wire. Steel jack chain is specified in the typical on drawing E3.1. Will grid wire be an approved substitute to the jack chain?
Response: Yes, the re-use of ceiling wire will be permitted. The contractor shall ensure that the existing wire is in good condition and adequately installed.
