Question: 1. Power at the exterior pole Lights are they 120V/277V or 240V/480V 2. What is the procedure to submit alternate products that KCDC can approve as equal, besides the ones mentioned in the bid document "GE Lighting and Sylvania"

Response: The power supply is a normal residential 120v/240v set up. The lights appear to be using 240 currently. KCDC recommends a site visit to verify. KCDC will consider equals provided the supplier sends an email request for approval with complete information about the equal item and why it was selected to procurementinfo@kcdc.org at least five days before the due date. KCDC reserves the right to request samples as part of the evaluation.

Question: Can you please confirm if there would be an opportunity to submit lighting fixtures for review and pre-approval? Or will proposed fixtures be evaluated and approved after bid opening?

Response: KCDC will consider equals provided the supplier sends an email request for approval with complete information about the equal item and why it was selected to procurementinfo@kcdc.org at least five days before the due date. KCDC reserves the right to request samples as part of the evaluation.

Question: As per the RFP it state that contractors are encouraged to visit the site. I would like to know where the electrical panel is located for the pole lights to understand how they are controlled. Could you please advise on the location?

Response: Each building has a "House Electrical Panel" The exterior lighting is connected to these panels. The lights are controlled by photocell sensors.
