The Alamogordo Public School District is seeking legal services from one or more law firm that will take all necessary steps to provide our District with excellent legal advice and defense while remaining sensitive to the issue of cost. The legal areas that services are requested for include, but are not limited to the following:
• Administrative law, policy development and legal advice and opinions on issues related to public education.
• Interpretation of state and federal laws and regulations relating to public education and school district operations.
• Business law, including but not limited to drafting, review and interpretation on contracts, leases, or construction documents. Review, preparation or approval of commercial instruments for public transactions.
• Real estate – capability of handing all aspects of real estate transactions for a public entity.
• General Litigation.
• Labor and employment law, including civil rights and workman’s compensation.
• Special education laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Bond sales/matters.
