Deadline: 12/15/2022 3:00 PM   (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)

Status: In Review

Quote Number: 38342

Description: The objective is to refurbish various walkways/platforms by replacing the existing wooden decking with composite decking (see attached pictures for additional information).

Walkway #1 – Ocklawaha Prairie
• Existing walkway is 40-feet long by 4-feet wide
• Walkway to be extended 32-feet from existing platform east towards levee
Walkway #2 – Sunnyhill Restoration Area – South
• Existing walkway is 20-feet long by 4-feet wide with a 10-foot by 10-foot platform.
Walkway #3 – Sunnyhill Restoration Area – North
• Existing walkway is 24-feet long by 4-feet wide with an 8-foot by 27-foot platform.

The scope of work generally includes removal and disposal of all existing wood decking and hardware fasteners and replace wood with new composite decking. The contractor is responsible for supplying all materials. The support system for all three walkways is assumed to be in good condition and does not need to be replaced. The District will inspect all aspects of the substructure prior to new deck boards being installed, should any rotten supports be identified, costs to replace will be negotiated at that time.

A Non- mandatory site visit will be held Tuesday, December 6 at 10:00a.m. We will meet at the Sunnyhill Field Station, 19561 S.E. Highway 42, Umatilla, FL 32784
