Description: The District would like to strengthen its leadership development strategy by developing, implementing and maintaining a program that recognizes and develops leadership skills of staff. We would like to identify individuals who are developing technical expertise or who have demonstrated technical expertise, and through an intentional program of learning, develop their leadership skills to prepare them to assume roles in supervisory/management positions or positions of influence. The leadership skills we would target for development would be based on servant leadership principles or characteristics such as self-awareness (authenticity), listening to understand, empathy, empowerment, persuasion, and building community. Other leadership skills/traits will be considered if recommended by the Consultant.
