Question 2

Question: -What are the criteria for the sound systems in 2111 and 2118? -What are the input criteria for the 2-channel sound system? -Is this just the audio from the TV? -Is the 2 channel sound system in addition to the sound bar or in place of? -Basic amp & speakers or does there need to be a wall plate input to the amp? -Can the amp be installed above the ceiling, behind the TV or does it need to be wall-mounted? -Wall-mounted speakers or ceiling speakers? -Drop tile or "hard" ceiling? -Referencing note 7, will that input be surface mounted or will we be able to fish the wall? -Is there a box in place? Single Gang? -Referencing note 12, is the existing box a standard gang type box or does it require a specific type of wall plate? i.e. Extron plate, NEMA, FSR...etc. -What size conduit will be in place for the HDMI connection? -Referencing the remainder of the HDMI connections, will these be surface mount or in-wall? -Metal raceway if surface? -Referencing the new TVs, are tilt mounts, articulating mounts or flat mounts preferred?
Response: What are the criteria for the sound systems in 2111 and 2118? We want people in the room to be able to hear what is being played from a laptop. If Room 2118 please make sure the review the ceiling drawing as it is not a consistant height. -What are the input criteria for the 2-channel sound system? Let's change this to a sound bar for room 2107 -Is this just the audio from the TV? All the small conference rooms should have HDMI to them with a sound bar. -Is the 2 channel sound system in addition to the sound bar or in place of? This was changed with the answer above -Basic amp & speakers or does there need to be a wall plate input to the amp? If you are referencing room 2107, like all conference rooms there will be HDMI from the TV to a floor box under the table. -Can the amp be installed above the ceiling, behind the TV or does it need to be wall-mounted? If referemcing room 2107 the above answer removes the need for this. -Wall-mounted speakers or ceiling speakers? See Above -Drop tile or "hard" ceiling? Please see included ceiling drawings -Referencing note 7, will that input be surface mounted or will we be able to fish the wall? Conduit and electrical box will be provided -Is there a box in place? Single Gang? see above answer -Referencing note 12, is the existing box a standard gang type box or does it require a specific type of wall plate? i.e. Extron plate, NEMA, FSR...etc. please reference electrical plans for these details. All small comference rooms have this requirement. -What size conduit will be in place for the HDMI connection? Please reference electrical drawings -Referencing the remainder of the HDMI connections, will these be surface mount or in-wall? Depending on the room. Conference rooms will be in floor, training rooms and board rooms on wall. -Metal raceway if surface? That we know of, nothing should be surface mounted. -Referencing the new TVs, are tilt mounts, articulating mounts or flat mounts preferred? Depending on which TV you are referencing. Most should only need a tile mount but the ones used for digital signage and tribunal may need articulating
