Description:

This project provides improvements to pedestrian facilities within downtown Shelbyville, Bedford County, TN in two separate phases (Phases 3 and 4).  The work includes sidewalk and related construction such as crosswalks, curb ramps, removal of brick pavers, and other items shown on the plans and described in the contract documents.  The length of Phase 3 project is .852 miles, and the length of Phase 4 project is 1 mile.  Bidding documents and information, and plans, may be obtained at the office of Lori Saddler located at Shelbyville City Hall, Purchasing Office, 2201 N. Spring St. Shelbyville, TN  37160.  931-684-2691 ext. 115.  Office hours 8 am to 4 pm.  A non-refundable fee of $100 will be required to pick up bidding documents.  Prime contractors must prequalify with TDOT before biddable proposals will be furnished.  A mandatory pre-bid meeting will take place on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at the Shelbyville Recreation Center, Meeting Room 1, 220 Tulip Tree Rd., Shelbyville, TN  37160 at 2:00 pm CDT.  Receipt of bids closes at 2:00 pm CDT April 29, 2021 and bids will be opened at 2:30 pm CDT same day.  See bid documents for more details.
