Description: The City of Athens, Tennessee, will be soliciting bids for Various Stormwater Improvements at three different sites: Regional Park Detention Pond, Cook Drive Detention Pond, and the northeast corner of the intersection of Mayfield Lane and Ingleside Avenue. The project includes, but is not limited to, bank stabilization, construction of a new stormwater detention area, landscape improvements, sidewalk installation, dredging of an existing pond, reconstruction of a detention pond outlet structure, site prep & restoration, and erosion prevention and sediment control measures.
This project is funded in part through the American Rescue Plan (ARP) and is therefore subject to specific restrictions and federal compliance requirements.

Pre-Bid Meeting Details: A MANDATORY Pre-bid Meeting will be held at 10:00am on August 21, 2025, at Athens Public Works, 219 Alford St., Athens, TN 37303. All bidders are required to attend the Pre-Bid Meeting and sign the attendance sheet at the meeting. Bids received from bidders who have not attended the Pre-Bid Meeting and signed the attendance sheet at the meeting will be considered non-responsive.
