Question 1
Posted: 5/5/2025
Question: Is there a required pre-bid meeting before bidding?
Response: No, there will not be a pre-bid meeting for this ITB.
Question 2
Posted: 5/8/2025
Question: The ITB states, "Bidder shall conduct the required Site visit during normal working hours, and shall not disturb any ongoing operations at the Site." Additionally, it states that it is the responsibility of each BIDDER to, "visit the Site, conduct a thorough, alert visual examination of the Site and adjacent areas, and become familiar with and satisfy itself as to the general, local, and Site conditions that may affect cost, progress, and performance of the Work." Therefore, is there someone that we should contact to schedule the site visit? Or, if we can just show up during normal working hours to conduct our site visit, is there someone that we should contact while we are there so that they know we have conducted our mandatory site visit?
Response: The language states the bidder should visit the site during normal working hours. It’s a sidewalk project so the “site” is always open but that’s standard language for all of our projects. We don’t need to be notified if or when the contractor makes a site visit.
Question 3
Posted: 5/15/2025
Question: The Plan Quantities show FDOT Pay Item for the Storm Drain as "Pipe Culvert, Optional, Round,15" and 18"" The plans propose 14"x23" and 12"x18" ERCP. Will the County issue an updated Bid Sheet to reflect the correct Pay Item?
Response: See addendum 1
