Description: Sealed bids for Hilltop Sanitary Sewer Improvements - Bid No.: 024-003 will be received by the City of Prattville at City Hall, 101 West Main Street, Prattville, AL 36067, until 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 25, 2024, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud at said location.

A mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Prattville City Hall, 101 West Main Street, Prattville, AL 36067.

The bracket estimate for this project is from $750,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. This bracket range is shown only to provide general financial information to contractors and bonding companies concerning the project’s complexity and size. This bracket should not be used in preparing a bid, nor will this bracket have any bearing on the decision to award the contract. The principal items of work are approximate as follows:

24” Ductile Iron Sanitary Sewer Line, 36” Steel Casing & Manhole installation.

The entire project shall be completed in 60 working days.


To be eligible for consideration, bids must be submitted on complete original proposals made available by the owner. Bid documents (including plans and proposals) are available through the digital plan room at Alabama Graphics, www.algraphicplanroom.com. Bid documents are on file at Prattville Public Works Department, 530 Doster Road, Prattville, AL 36067. No bid documents will be distributed later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled opening of bids.

Guarantee will be required with each bid for at least 5% of the amount of the bid (not to exceed $10,000.00) filed in the form of a certified check or Bid Bond payable to the City of Prattville. Bid Bonds shall include certification that the bonding company is listed in Circular 570 of the U.S. Treasury Department. Each bidder must submit with their bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to submit 100% performance bond and a 50% payment bond. Contractors are required to apply for all permits (City of Prattville local permit fees will be waived). 

All bids and proposals SHALL be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the Bidder, Bidder’s license number, license expiration date, category, address and name of the project. Envelopes containing bids and proposals must be addressed as follows, and delivered to:
