This is a grant funded project through the State of South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Park and Recreation Development Fund. All applicable state requirements shall apply.

A.        Playground mulch will most likely be used. We really want something with lower maintenance, but we realize there are limitations due to the $37,000 budget.

 

2.         Q.        Are we required to use borders for this playground area?

A.        Yes.

 

3.         Q.        Should the borders be connected to an ADA ramp?

A.        Yes.

 

4.         Q.        The site plan shows the area for the playground but

                        does not show the size.         

A.        The playground site plan (Attachment A) is drawn to scale and is labeled one inch equals sixteen feet.

 

5.         Q.        Are benches shown on the plan to be included in the proposal?

            A.        Yes, one to two benches should be sufficient.

 

6.         Q.        Do you want shade for the benches?

            A.        No. The shade from the existing trees should be sufficient.

 

7.         Q.        Can the existing low hanging trees be cut back?

            A.        Yes. The City will prune the trees.

 

8.         Q.        Are we to provide borders for the entire area or just the playground?
