Description: Dawson County Purchasing Department on behalf of the Dawson County Board of Commissioners is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit sealed proposals from qualified vendors who specialize in A & E services for a Senior Services Center, located at 201 Recreation Road, Dawsonville, GA 30534. Detailed proposal documents are available at www.dawsoncounty.org. Questions in reference to the above IFB must be in writing to the Dawson County Purchasing Manager, Melissa Hawk at mhawk@dawsoncounty.org or faxed to 706-531-2728 before 1:00 p.m., January 29, 2018. All answers will be posted to website no later than February 1, 2018, by 3:00PM, EST on, 2017. Addenda, where applicable, will be posted in the same manner. The Construction Services phase will be funded in part by the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG). Certain federal CDBG requirements will apply to the A & E Services contract. All contractors and subcontractors are required to be registered in the federal System for Award Management (SAM). Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President’s Executive Order No. 11246 & Order No. 11375 which prohibits discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The CDBG application, including the preliminary cost estimate, is available for review by contacting Melissa Hawk at 706-344-3500 ext. 42223. Bidders must also make positive efforts to use small and minority-owned businesses and to offer employment, training and contracting opportunities in accordance with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968. Section 3 Residents and Business Concerns are encouraged to apply. Bidders must comply with the Architectural Barriers Act of 1968, as amended and the Georgia Energy Codes for Buildings O.C.G.A. Title 8, Chapter 2. Sealed proposals may be delivered to 25 Justice Way, Suite 2223, Dawsonville, GA 30534 until 10:30AM on February 14, 2018. The outside of the shipping container/envelope must be marked with the appropriate bid number and title. Immediately following the deadline the names and bid prices of bidders will be recorded and read in the Administration Training Room at the above address. The Dawson County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any technicalities or irregularities and to award the bid based on the highest and best interests of Dawson County.
