Description: The City of Griffin is seeking soliciting proposals from qualified vendors for repair to their fiber network caused by recent storms that occurred in January of 2023 as well as on-going maintenance and repair work. This work consists primarily of splicing, de-lash & re-lashing existing fiber, rehanging ADSS fiber and splice closures, some minor strand & fiber replacement, and attaching fiber to new poles which is currently laying in J-hooks.

The City will supply major materials needed for work (see attachment for current materials in Griffin stock). Contractor will be expected to supply miscellaneous materials such as pole framing and bonding hardware (for strand & ADSS), splicing materials, lashing wire, etc. The attached KMZ gives estimated number and location of cleanup areas. Once inspected from the air, additional work may be required. This work will need to be approved by the city before proceeding.
