Description: The City of North Charleston is requesting sealed bids for the construction of a 1,850 SF Multi-Purpose Room at the Felix Pinckney Community Center located at 4764 Hassell Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405. Construction shall consist of all site prep work, the demolition of existing window and wall for installation of new door and frame, construction of new floor slab, construction of new walls, electrical, roof, front porch, and installation of a split system heat pump with dehumidification coil. All work shall be performed in accordance with the latest, adopted edition of Federal/State/Local Codes, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Codes, National Electrical Code (NEC, NFPA 70), International Building Code and all requirements of the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ). Each Bidder should visit the site of the proposed work and fully acquaint himself with the existing conditions relating to construction and labor, and should fully inform himself as to the facilities involved, and the difficulties and restrictions attending the performance of the Contract. The Bidder should thoroughly examine and familiarize himself with the Drawings, Technical Specifications, and all other Contract Documents.
