The work shall consist of:   

The work consists of the installation of two (2) new knife gate valves with valve actuators and construction of a concrete stabilization structure to replace the existing slide gate valves and infrastructure on the Upper Tansil Dam in Carlsbad, NM.  The valves and actuators have been procured by the City of Carlsbad. The concrete stabilization structure shall be composed of structural concrete. All materials and components for the construction of the concrete structure must be shipped to the site prior to construction.  Lake Carlsbad will be temporarily drained for this project, and construction must begin by January 15^th and be completed no later than March 1st.  Construction commencement prior to January 15^th, provided the lake is drained, should be coordinated closely with the City of Carlsbad.
