Sealed bids for the Bonansinga Drive – 2019 Flood Repair (MR 635) Project in the City of Quincy, Adams County, Illinois, described herein will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 730 Maine Street, City Hall, Quincy, Illinois 62301 until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 21, 2019 and at that time publicly opened and read aloud in the City Hall Council Chamber.

The City of Quincy’s MR 635 Project consists approximately 76 feet of 36” RCCP storm sewer, trench backfill, new 6 ft. diameter manhole, 80 ft. of B-6.18 curb & gutter, 364 sq yd of pavement replacement, and related items.

Plans and specifications may be examined at the office of Department of Utilities & Engineering, City Hall, 730 Maine Street, Quincy, Illinois 62301. 

All bids shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the “Proposal Bid” form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the city of Quincy, or a bank cashier’s check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications.

The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.

No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past.

Bidders are notified that not less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor shall be paid to all workers performing work under this contract.
