Description: The Town is seeking proposals for a qualified consultant to:
• Take a current inventory of the facilities surveillance system and make a 5-10 year upgrade and maintenance plan with recommendations on technology, camera capabilities, backhaul and video management capacity;
• Assist the Town in taking a current inventory of the public safety surveillance system and make similar recommendations; as an alternative (or alternative phased approach), the Town is interested in exploring new technology in the public safety sphere that will allow for Artificial Intelligence (AI) queries on stored video, and allow for real time tracking and access with neighboring jurisdictions.
• Help the Town select potential new technology and would design the system to meet our surveillance objectives. The chosen consultant would not be eligible to bid on any installation or maintenance tasks, but instead would be retained for annual review of the system(s) capabilities, design and technological integration of new roads, buildings, or facilities.

The chosen consultant will not be an employee or representative of any original equipment manufacturer. If the Town does not order the equipment directly, Consultant’s markup on goods shall be limited by contract and all warranties on goods shall be completely transferable.

The Town intends to award one contract to the firm that presents the proposal considered to be of the best value to the Town for a period of one (1) year with the option to renew for four (4) additional 1-year periods.
