Question 1

Posted: 8/29/2023

Question: There are many configuration options and looks available for lighting fixtures that could be difficult to iron out. Has the county determined the model and brand or style of light it is looking to have provided as a basis for design?

Response: The Darlington County Library has looked at lighting options such as the Linear WaveStream Luminaire and Mason pendant from Camman Lighting. Vendors do not have to quote this particular brand, but these are the style that the library is wanting to go with the new lighting as far as the linear lighting and pendent lighting.

Question 2

Posted: 8/29/2023

Question: Has the county enlisted an licensed electrical engineer for the design or is the county in need of this service to be provided as a design-bid vs a design-bid-build?

Response: NO.

Question 3

Posted: 8/29/2023

Question: As the Authority Having Jurisdiction over the county facilities, will the county require a licensed electrical engineer for this project or will the county be treating this project in accordance with IBC 2021 as a repair vs alteration?

Response: No.

Question 4

Posted: 8/29/2023

Question: The county has specified the following: • Rework the electrical in the South Carolina room so that the electrical system is separate from the current electrical system Can additional information about the intended outcome be provided? The statement is a little ambiguous. Is there a specific panel you are looking to have separated, breakers, circuits, or other intent to help define why you would like the separation and how it should function?

Response: The South Carolina room lighting control needs to be separated from the current electrical system. The lighting is tied into whole library so there is no way to cut the lights on or off in that particular room.
