Description:
The City of Hanahan is soliciting bids for the construction of a boardwalk along the Goose Creek Reservoir from Bettis Boat Landing to the Amphitheater. Bids may be submitted online, hand delivered via FedEx, UPS or in person. Design firm is Seamon Whiteside. Bid opening is slated for June 11, 2020 at 2pm. Bidders not required to attend. See Documents for details.
Contractors should have a marine endorsement and carry the required insurance for working over water.
Barges are permitted. It was our assumption all along that contractors would use sectional barges to complete the project. We have the Nav Waters Permit and Permits from CWS so we should be good to go. All contractors are advised that they are required to carry USL&H and/or Jones Act Insurance where applicable. This is marine insurance from working on/over water and from vessels.
