NOTICE OF INVITATION TO BID

NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN that the CITY OF RATON is now accepting competitive sealed bids for the Dangerous Building and/or Premise Property Cleanup Project (Project No. COR-250508).

Work will be conducted on and around the premises of identified properties, under the supervision of the Raton Police Department and in coordination with the City’s Code Enforcement Officer.

Scope of Work:
The project involves the removal and cleanup of various hazardous and unauthorized materials and structures, including but not limited to:
• Unsheltered junk and debris
• Nuisance vehicles
• Dilapidated and/or fire-damaged mobile homes
• Unpermitted structures such as carports, lean-tos, and unauthorized additions
• Other waste materials located on the exterior portions of residential properties

All work must be performed in compliance with city and state regulations and under appropriate supervision. All prospective bidders are required to complete a site visit of the identified properties prior to submitting a bid. Site visits must be coordinated with the City’s Code Enforcement Officer no later than Tuesday, May 20, 2025. Bidders will be required to sign in at each location visited to verify attendance. Bids submitted without evidence of a completed site visit will be deemed non-responsive and will not be considered.

Sealed bids shall be received until Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the office of the City Treasurer/Chief Procurement Officer as follows:

Sealed Bids received after this date and time will be returned unopened. All Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud immediately after the specified closing time.
