Description: BACKGROUND This project consists of three phases. The first phase will be to perform an assessment of all eligible waterway debris within and around the bays and tidal rivers of Beaufort County; identifying the location and mapping the debris. In addition, the Contractor shall divide the County waterways into a manageable number of zones for the purpose of tracking progress and costs. The waterways within and adjacent to Hilton Head Island is required to be tracked as a separate zone.The second phase of the project will be removing and disposing/recycling of all eligible waterway debris deposited by Hurricane Matthew within and around the bays and tidal rivers of Beaufort County. The Contractor shall remove Eligible Debris from waterways as directed by the County. The third and final phase of the project shall be verification that debris removal has been completed in a Zone or portion of a Zone. The Contractor must utilize side-scan sonar, LIDAR, aerial reconnaissance or other cost-effective and appropriate technology to verify that all eligible debris has been removed from the waterway. The Contractor shall provide the County Debris Manager with written confirmation of such.

Pre-Bid Meeting Details: There will be a Pre-Proposal meeting on January 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Finance conference room located at 106 Industrial Village Road, Building #2, Beaufort, SC 29906. All vendors are encouraged to attend.

Type of Addition: Awarded to Ashbritt under Emergency Procurement

Overview: Compensation shall be in accordance with Contractor's Proposal Price Schedules submitted on February 13, 2017. A ten percent (10%) retainage will be withheld from each reconciled invoice until the end of the project. In order to recover the retainage, the Contractor(s) must successfully complete, and receive a letter of completion from the County, for all work zones. Retainage will be held until final reconciliation is complete. Portions of the retainage may be held by the County to repair damages caused by the Contractor(s) to public or private property.

Amount: $2,500,000.00
