• Torrance Unified School District is requesting sealed bids from licensed contractors with a Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) certification to replace playground structures and safety surfacing at seventeen (17) elementary schools within the Torrance Unified School District.  New Miracle Recreation playground equipment shall be District provided, Contractor installed, otherwise, bids shall be all-inclusive, including all materials – such as safety surfacing and engineered wood fill - travel, reproduction, administrative, sub-consultants, sub-contracting, and any and all other overhead costs. 

• Contractor shall possess a Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) certification along with any of the following California CSLB licensing classifications:

A – General Engineering

B – General Contracting

C-61/D34: Prefabricated Equipment

***  Prequalification - Any contractors and subcontractors with A or B licenses Must submit a complete prequalification package through PQBids website: https://pqbids.com/Torrance-usd/   no later than (10) business days prior to the bid opening.

• Three (3) Mandatory Job Walks will be conducted as follows - Eligible Bidders must attend all three job walks:

Tuesday, 10/15/19 at 9:00 am – beginning in the District Purchasing offices

Wednesday, 10/16/19 at 9:00 am – beginning at Arlington Elementary

Thursday, 10/17/19 at 9:00 am – beginning at Victor Elementary

-  Project Estimate - $2,750,000

Project Start Date - January 6, 2020

Project Completion Date - October 10, 2020 (280 Calendar Days)
