Question 2

Posted: 2/8/2022

Question: 1. Does this project require General Contractors license? 2. Does this project require permit? If so, who is responsible for permitting and the associated fees? 3. Who is responsible for inspections and materials testing and the associated fees? 4. What’s the anticipated start date? 5. What’s the budget for this project? 6. Should the light poles be removed prior to placing concrete sub-slab and installing the brick paver? 7. There are many existing cracks within the existing sidewalks and curbs beyond the demolition areas, should they be removed and replaced as well? 8. What’s the working hours? Any restriction that we should be aware of? 9. Any events or special dates that we should stop our work for? 10. Can we work on the weekends? 11. Can we close the parking areas along the site? If so, how many parking spaces can we close at a time? 12. What are the requirements for safe-up the project site? Do you require placement of chain-link fences and barricades? 13. Are there any requirements for traffic and pedestrian control? 14. Are there any signages required? 15. Are there water and power available on site within proximity of the construction locations? 16. Any designated parking areas for construction personnel? Any designated areas for dumpsters and equipment? 17. Are there any available staging areas for this project close by? What are requirements for staging areas? If any? 18. Is there any existing irrigation system within the construction areas? If there is, how would you want us to address it? 19. Do we need expansion joins between the existing concrete curb and proposed 4” concrete sub-slab? As well as between the existing concrete sidewalk and proposed 4” concrete sub-slab? 20. Cherokee Brick – Velour Flash may not be available in the market anymore due to the discontinued production. If so, can we use similar brick product and color? 21. Due to national shortage of materials and shipping delays, will the owner count these unforeseen delays against the completion date, and apply to liquidated damages? 22. We have contacted several local nurseries; we have learned that the Priceton Sentry Ginko street tree at 3.5 caliber and 10’- 12’ height may not be available. What are the similar trees that we could use for this project? 23. Is there any sleeves/pipe required from the existing light poles to the proposed up-lights? 24. Please confirm that all existing light poles have neutral wires. Otherwise, we must run additional wires form the existing panels from the street to the existing light poles to accommodate lower voltage LED lamps. 25. Should contractor run all new conduits from the existing panels to all existing light poles and ALL other proposed fixtures? If not, please confirm that ALL existing conduits are sufficient in size, length, and ready for ALL proposed electrical fixtures?

Response: Please see posted addendum 2.
