Question 1
Posted: 6/5/2025
Question: Will this project utilize the GDOT Asphalt Cement Index? Or will it be a Non Indexed Project?
Response: Will be GDOT pavement specifications.
Question 2
Posted: 6/5/2025
Question: How long do you expect it to take to issue the Notice to Proceed for this project?
Response: Anticipated for September after council award in August following bid opening on July 22nd
Question 3
Posted: 6/16/2025
Question: Can you add rock line item one for trench rock and one for mass rock? We have hit rock in this region on other projects. If you add a line item this will prevent the Grading Complete being an inflated number.
Response: Per the engineer, they did not see a reason for this item based on available borings. Neese South did not have it either. City project manager of Neese South can provide input from trenching on that project. If contractor prefers to add, would be hard to quantify, so would only establish the item / unit in the bid and then recommend being a payment based on measure item so that contractor is paid for exactly what is removed. Update: Per City project manager, no trench rock present in any excavations on the Southern Segment.
