Notice is hereby given that Okeechobee County, Florida, pursuant to Section 287.055, Florida Statutes, hereby issues this request for qualifications to provide Architectural Consulting Services to work with a Construction Manager at Risk with Design Assist for the design and construction of the “Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Department Jail Renovation and Expansion Project” Project No. 2019-08.  

The construction services shall include the renovation of the existing facility, redevelop existing kitchen into inmate program areas, renovate laundry, intake, medical, and storage areas, and in addition, construct two new 224 bed-housing pods supported by a new kitchen facility.

Services shall include, but not be limited to, space needs assessment, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding and Negotiations and Construction Administration Phase, providing services for civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and security engineering, drawings, preparation of preliminary and final construction drawings with complete specifications and contract documents suitable for solicitation of bids and permit issuance for this project and Construction Administration Services.
