Landscape Maintenance Services for Hwy 431 and Hwy 75
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Albertville, Alabama, for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment, and for
doing the work of Landscape Maintenance Services on Hwy 431 and Hwy 75 in Albertville, AL in accordance with the bid
specifications and contract documents. Interested bidders must submit sealed bids to the Office of Purchasing Director
Michael Brewer, located at 116 W. Main Street Albertville, AL 35950, no later than 10:00am central time on Thursday April
7th, 2022, at which time all bids will be opened in the Council Chambers at that location.
No Bids will be received after the time set forth above and the bids/proposals will be publicly opened and read in
accordance with the laws of the State of Alabama. The specified work will be awarded under one Contract and all labor,
materials, and equipment, except as noted, shall be provided by the Contractor for an initial period of one year with the
possible renewal for two additional one-year periods upon mutual agreement between the City and the Contractor.
Specifications and contract documents are open to public view at the Office of the Purchasing Director of the City of
Albertville, 116 W. Main Street Albertville, AL 35950. Alternatively, a copy may be obtained from the City of Albertville’s
website at https://www.cityofalbertville.com/191/Bids . NOTE: NO SPECIFICATIONS OR CONTRACT DOCUMENTS WILL
BE MAILED.
A Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount Bid (not to exceed $10,000) must
accompany each proposal. The payee of such bond shall be The City of Albertville, Alabama. The Bid Bond shall bear the
same date as set for the receipt of Bids. The Bid Bond shall be signed by an agent authorized to do business in the State
of Alabama.
All businesses will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated
against on the grounds of race, color, gender, religion, age, disability, marital status or national origin in consideration
for an award.
The attention of Bidders is called to the provisions of Section 31-13-9, Code of Alabama 1975 relating to Immigration Law
compliance and documentation thereof (i.e. participation in the Federal E-Verify program). The successful Bidder will
be required to sign a contract that includes the following provision related to Immigration: "By signing this contract, the
contracting parties affirm, for the duration of the agreement, that they will not violate federal immigration law or
knowingly employ, hire for employment or continue to employ an unauthorized alien within the state of Alabama.
Furthermore, a contracting party found to be in violation of this provision shall be deemed in breach of the agreement
and shall be responsible for all damages resulting therefrom."
All Bids/Proposals shall remain valid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the date of receipt of Bids. The Owner
reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informality in any Bid, and to accept any Bid which is considered
to be most advantageous to the Owner. The Contract award, if made will be made to the lowest responsive, responsible
Bidder as evidenced by his/her submittal of a Bid/Proposal Form which has been completed, signed, and delivered in
accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
