Description: Sealed bids for W. 6th Street Improvements - Bid No.: 023-004 will be received by the City of Prattville at City Hall, 101 West Main Street, Prattville, AL 36067, until 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 19, 2023, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud at said location.

A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023, by the City of Prattville at City Hall, 101 West Main Street, Prattville, AL 36067, at 10:00 am. Pre-qualification Proposals will be received by the City of Prattville at City Hall, 101 West Main Street, Prattville, AL 36067, until 10:00 am, Thursday, April 6, 2023. Pre-Qualification Proposals must include the following:

1. Company background information. Contractor shall have been actively engaged in the delivery of projects of similar size and scope within the last 10 years.
a. Provide a historical narrative of the company from inception; including history of ownership, partnership, incorporation and/or other organizational information. Include number of employees.
2. Project Team
a. Provide a list of project managers and superintendents to be assigned to the project.
b. List three previously completed projects within the last 10 years of similar size and scope for each project manager and superintendent listed. Include project names, addresses, project descriptions, contract amounts, project durations, and contact information for whom the projects were completed. Project team must be able to show successful completion of three previously completed projects o meet the pre-qualification requirements.
3. Provide a list of three projects similar in size and scope completed within the last 10 years. Include project names, addresses, project descriptions, contract amounts, project durations, and contact information for whom the projects were completed. Company must be able to show successful completion of three previously completed projects to the pre-qualification requirements.
4. Anticipated construction start date of the proposed work.

Only General Contractors who have completed the pre-qualification process within the stated time limits, meet the pre-qualification requirements, and are properly licensed in accordance with criteria established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors under the Provision of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, will be considered for pre-qualification for the Work of this project. The pre-qualification procedure is intended to identify responsible and competent bidders relative to the requirements of the Project. A list of pre-qualified bidders will be issued on April 10, 2023.

The bracket estimate on this project is from $2,000,000.00 to $2,200,000.00, this bracket range is shown only to provide general financial information to contractors and bonding companies concerning the project’s complexity and size. This bracket should not be used in preparing a bid, nor will this bracket have any bearing on the decision to award the contract. The principal items of work are approximate as follows:
3,000 LF OF GRAVITY SANITARY SEWER MAIN REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
600 LF OF STORM SEWER PIPE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
ROADWAY PATCHING, LEVELING, RESURFACING, AND STRIPING
The entire project shall be completed in 90 working days.

All bids and proposals SHALL be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the Bidder, Bidder’s license number, license expiration date, category, address and name of the project.
