SPEC-1 GENERAL STATEMENT OF INTENT
1. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to award a contract for the development and installation of specified turnkey HVAC Upgrades. The District has standardized on Trane systems including controls integration to the existing Trane Ensemble Cloud Hosted Network with building performance data analytics connectivity for all new equipment installed. For information regarding existing Trane control systems, call Dave Hartmann, Trane BAS Project Manager at 618-660-5715.
2. HVAC systems to be replaced are currently monitored under a 15-year energy savings guarantee from Trane. NOTE: Contractor shall be responsible for any impact to the existing 15-year energy savings guarantee in place at HHS and SMS due to exceeding minimum equipment efficiencies, controls programming sequence variation or overrides that result in a baseline adjustment to the guaranteed energy savings.
3. The intent is to award to the Contractor deemed to be the most qualified and responsive that provides the lowest and best proposal, which meets the needs of the District.
4. All work to be substantially complete during the summer of 2020 in accordance with the Wentzville School District’s published calendar.
5. All opened RFP’s will remain on file at Support Services Maintenance Department.
6. The awarded vendor will coordinate all work with the contact person assigned by the Director of Facilities.
7. This is a Prime Vendor Turnkey Contract for Services.
8. The District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any "informalities" in the proposals received whenever such selection, rejection or waiver is in its best interest.
