Description:

The City of Sebring is seeking a qualified general contractor to provide labor, materials, supplies, services, etc. to design and build an enclosed 30’ x 48’ section attached to the existing metal building located at 1037 US Highway 27 South, Sebring, FL  33870.  The work includes designing, foundation and flatwork, walls, framing, roof, and other materials to match the existing structure to make the new extension look part of the original construction. The successful contractor must develop a plan/design for the project that is stamped by an engineer registered with the State of Florida. The City is seeking a lump sum price that includes construction, plans, design, permits, etc. for a turn-key project. The scope of work contained in this solicitation is anticipated to cost $75,000.00.

Bid plans, if any, can be obtained by emailing a request to purchasing@mysebring.com.  Any questions regarding the specifications, terms and conditions, and/or the bidding process should be submitted at purchasing@mysebring.com.  It shall be the bidders’ responsibility to check VendorRegistry.com for amendments/changes made to the document and/or any addendums posted. 

Sealed bids must be marked with the ITB number and delivered by U.S. mail or courier to the City of Sebring Purchasing Office Attn: Lisa Osha, 368 S. Commerce Ave., Sebring, FL 33870 so as to reach the said office no later than 3:00 p.m., ­­­­­­­­on Monday, June 8^th, 2020, of the official time clock in the purchasing office, at which time they will be opened. Bids received later than the date and time specified will be rejected. Due to COVID-19 precautions, no hand delivered bids will be accepted. The City will not be responsible for the late delivery of any bids that are incorrectly addressed by mail or any other type of delivery service. The Sebring City Council reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or any parts thereof; and the award; if an award is made, will be made to the most responsible bidder whose bid and qualifications indicate that the award will be in the best interest of the City of Sebring. The council reserves the right to waive irregularities in the bid.

Pre-Bid Meeting Details: PRE-BID MEETING: Due to COVID-19, there will not be a pre-bid meeting, however bidders are required to visit the site and attest to the date and time of the site visit (see attached form).
