Question 3
Posted: 9/9/2021
Question: In our opinion the TXDOT rubblizing specification was developed for 8"-10" thick highway pavements. Being that CR 4106 is only 4"-6" thick, and depending on subsurface conditions, we believe that the pavement might not break down small enough to meet the specification. If this is the case is the owner going to allow larger sized pieces to provide adequate support for the new pavement structure? The term we use for this is "modified rubblization".
Response: Yes, the owner will consider modified rubblization. Please make such notes in your Proposal response.
