Description: ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed Bids for the construction of the William A. Batson Parkway will be received, by The City of Springfield, in the office of the City Recorder, at 405 North Main St., Springfield, TN 37172, until 2:00 PM local time on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of construction of approximately 1.238 miles of 2-lane boulevard on a new alignment. The project includes the following work: Grading, Drainage, Curb, Paving, Signage and Pavement Marking, Utilities, and Retaining Walls.

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.

A Prime Contractor must prequalify with the Department of Transportation in accordance with Section 54-5-117 of the “Tennessee Code Annotated” and Tennessee Department of Transportation Rule 1680- 5-3 prequalification of contractors before biddable proposals will be furnished.

Bidding Documents may be obtained from The City of Springfield after completing the Bid Document Request Form available on the City of Springfield website at https://springfieldtn.gov/437/BidsRFQsRFPs for the subject project. Completed Bid Document Request Forms shall be emailed to Jake.Graves@greshamsmith.com. You will then receive a response email containing a link to download PDF files of the project Plans, Proposal Contract, and Bid Package.

Drawings, Specifications, and other Contract Documents may be examined at the Nashville Builders Exchange 301 S. Perimeter Park Drive, Suite 100 Nashville, TN 37211; and can be reviewed online at the Construction Connect website @ www.constructionconnect.com.

No Bids will be received or accepted after the above-specified time for the opening of Bids. Bids submitted after the designated hour will be deemed invalid and returned unopened to the Bidder.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
