Description: Qualified Companies are invited and encouraged to submit bids to provide fifteen (15) Modular Buildings to fourteen (14) Dorchester County Convenience Sites. Buildings will be in accordance with the Specifications and Bid Sheet provided herein. The buildings will be delivered to 374 Sandy Pines Lane Dorchester, SC 29437 for storage until each Convenience Site is ready for installation.

Question: Will the county allow licensed SC Modular Builders to forgo providing a payment and performance bond if we invoice for buildings after they are delivered to 374 Sandy Pines Lane, Dorchester, SC?

Response: Yes

Question: Is the scope of this work to have a licensed SC Modular Builder fabricate these buildings in compliance with the SC Modular Building Codes, provide ground rod and anchorage components and deliver them to 374 Sandy Pines Lane, Dorchester, SC and then a general contractor will set the foundations and buildings under another contract?

Response: Yes

Question: If you want a general contractor to purchase the buildings from a modular builder, install the foundations and set the buildings then what is the timing on setting the buildings for each site?

Response: The County is purchasing the buildings. Installation and setting of the buildings will be performed by the County contractor. Once the buildings are delivered to the County, timetable for installing the buildings will be determined by the County.

Question: Can we furnish the sleeves, concrete inserts, anchor bolts, setting drawings, templates and directions for installing anchorages with the buildings when the buildings are delivered?

Response: Yes, we will need installation instructions and drawings submitted with the bid so the County can get a cost from our contractor to install and set the Buildings.
