CITY OF QUINCY, ILLINOIS

Sealed bids for Section 22-00341-00-BR F.A.U. 7814 (Harrison Street) over Curtis Creek in the City of Quincy, Adams County, Illinois, described herein will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 730 Maine Street, Suite 129, City Hall, Quincy, Illinois 62301 until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 10th, 2024, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud in the City Hall Council Chambers.

Section 22-0034-00-BR removing the existing structure and constructing of a new three span PPC Deck Beam Bridge, 82'-0" back to back, 42'-0" out to out reconstructing the roadway, water main relocation and other related work on Harrison Street approximately 700 feet east of South 24th Street in the City of Quincy.

Plans and specifications are available online at www.quincyil.gov/bids and may be examined at the office of Department of Utilities & Engineering, City Hall, 730 Maine Street, Quincy, Illinois 62301.

All bids shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the “Proposal Bid” form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the city of Quincy, or a bank cashier’s check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications.

The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.

No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past.

Prequalification through the Illinois Department of Transportation for the full amount bid will be required.
