Description: Calhoun County and Jackson County are seeking bids for mineral aggregates. The term of the contract shall be for ONE (1) year from date of award, with the option to extend the contract for ONE (1) year if mutually agreed upon by both parties. Bid prices shall remain firm for the course of this contract. The most responsive bid shall include the following specifications and requirements:


All materials shall meet the latest Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) standard specifications for construction. Please furnish the most recent sieve analysis of the material you are bidding, showing the size and crushed content along with a sample. Calhoun/Jackson reserves the right to do additional sampling at the contractor’s expense. Calhoun/Jackson County reserves the right to inspect and test any material and equipment to be used during the term of this agreement. Should test results of the product indicate failure to meet the latest Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Standard Specifications for Construction, the Contractor may be subject to fees and /or held responsible for clean-up and removal of the failed product.
