Description: Sealed bids for the Security Fence Installation project at the Lake City Gateway Airport will be received at the Procurement Department, City Hall, 205 N. Marion Avenue, Lake City, FL 32055 until 2:30 PM, EDT, on January 9, 2018 and there, at said office, at said time, publicly opened and read aloud. Bids CLEARLY MARKED ITB-005-2018 shall be submitted in a sealed envelope. Base Bid 1 – Security Fence Installation includes the installation of new security chain link fence segments (approximately 8,100 linear feet) and an access gate. Prevailing wage rates and DBE participation are not applicable. Contractors must be bonded and insured to the level indicated in the Contract Documents. A complete set of Bid Documents, consisting of the General Provisions, Special Provisions, Technical Specifications, Bid, Agreement and Contract Drawings, will be available on Monday, November 27, 2017 and may be obtained from Passero Associates at www.passero.com under the ‘BID’ tab for a fee of $50.00 (Non-refundable); and from the following sources: Plan Room of Construction Bulletin/Construction Journal, Jacksonville, FL; Mid-State Builders Exchange, Ocala, FL; Dodge Data & Analytics, Jacksonville, FL; Builders Exchange Plan Rooms, Daytona & Tampa, FL; ConstructConnect - Pelham, AL, Norcross, GA, and all of FL. A Mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the Lake City Gateway Airport, 3524 E. US Hwy 90, Lake City, FL 32055 on December 6, 2017 at 11:00 am. Technical questions shall be directed to Mary Gniech of Passero Associates (mgniech@passero.com) and must be received no later than December 19, 2017. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price (combination of base bid or alternate bid plus add-on items) for the contract in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Preparation of Proposal. The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the bid and to reject any and all bids.
