Description:

The project involves the replacement of the normal and emergency electrical grid system on the Dayton Campus, buildings 4, 7, 11 and MS 1, 2 and 3 in building 4. Replacement to include all owner supported power distribution from utility source to branch supply including switch gear and branch panels. Emergency egress from these and other attached buildings will have to be closely coordinated with the City of Dayton. Numerous life safety and other systems will need to have temporary power provided during electrical system shut downs.

The selected design team will have experience in the design & construction administration of similar electrical grid replacement projects.  Important elements in the selection process will be experience in ensuring protection of building interiors and surrounding campus property.  The firms must have experience in the complete design and monitoring of the installation of major electrical grid systems, to ensure work meets all requirements and to ensure subsequent warranties.
