The University of Alabama in Huntsville is requesting proposals for UAH Campus Custodial Services. In the event it becomes necessary to revise any part of this Request for Proposal prior to the assigned return date, revisions will be posted in writing by Procurement Services on our UAH Vendor Registry website: http://www.uah.edu/business-services/vendors/bid-opportunities.
In order to be considered for selection, vendors must submit a complete response to this request for proposal via vendorregistry.com. The vendors shall make no other distribution of the proposals.
No proposal may be amended or withdrawn after the scheduled closing time of receipt for a period of sixty (60) days. The University reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any and all proposals.

Question: Please provide square footage for the Greek Row House for Pricing. Does the Greek Row House include the Fraternity and Sorority housing? There is very little information on these in the RFP. If you have maps of these facilities, please provide.
Response: 5500 square feet Per Greek Row House. It does include Fraternity and Sorority Housing.

Question: The current pricing schedule has a per unit pricing sheet with some items being "as needed". Does UAH wants us to combine our Administrative and other Overhead costs into each unit respectively? Also, would UAH consider a monthly fee for overhead?
Response: All costs should be included in each line of pricing. The common space cleaning and UFC cleaning should be priced as monthly fees. The room turn pricing should be per unit pricing for each unit type.

Question: Southeast Campus Housing - Are the exterior stairwells and breezeways to be swept or blown and mopped once per week?
Response: Exterior Stairwells and breezeways should be swept or blown off once per week. Mopping as needed.

Response: UFC square footage 62,845

Question: On page 13 of 39 it states "A schedule of routine cleaning tasks for common areas of UFC, CCH, CVO, CVA, FFH, NCH, and SCH is recommended. Excluding time for thorough trash disposal, a minimum of 12 man hours per building per day is required, in order to deliver expected cleaning detail or to complete special projects approved by the university. " Am I to assume that the University expects 72 hours per day Monday through Friday to share between all buildings? Am I also to provide coverage for UFC for the weekend? Current schedule does not include weekends in Resident Life but does include hours at UFC for weekends.
Response: 72 hours per day Monday thru Friday for Residential life buildings is what we are looking for. UFC is by the schedule provided which includes weekends.
