Description: Within the Destin—Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS), a new reflection room is to be constructed on the secure
side of the airport that encloses part of an existing hold room space within Concourse A. The room shall be
constructed with three partitions, with two being tangent to an existing wall. The enclosure will be roughly
+/-170 square feet with signage to direct travelers to the interior room. The reflection room uses carpet to
complement the existing, and adds wall sconce lighting, as well as sound absorption panels aimed at creating
a space insulated from the airport’s ambient noise. The adjacent walls are to be 6-inch metal studs with double
layers of gypsum board from bottom floor to the floor above and painted as indicated on the finish schedule
to complement the existing color scheme of the airport.
A distinctive component of this reflection room is a dedicated wall, adorned with stained glass within the
partition system, a personal touch generously donated by the Owner. The glass feature is backlit, and its design
serves as a symbolic connection piece between the airport and the adjacent military base. The space is
anchored by a raised altar and framed feature wall beyond that is illuminated internally. The existing ceiling
is to be removed and the corresponding equipment relocated as indicated on the plans to accommodate the
new acoustical ceiling. There is one fire suppression head that needs to be added and two others to be relocated
within the space that will drive a miscellaneous building permit to be pulled for that modification.
All interior furniture listed in the plans are a part of the project including chairs, shelves, and any other
functional pieces shown in the plans.

Overview: Please find the attached photos and information below, for the above referenced Addendum 1. This Addendum is to address questions regarding the VPS Reflection Room Build-Out. This Addendum is hereby made a part of the Contract Documents and Specifications of the above referenced project. All other requirements of the original Contract Documents and Specifications shall remain effective in their respective order.

Question: I didn't see an Electrical Detail page in the plans but it looks like some lights will need to be moved. Also, no specifics on outlet locations
Response: Wall outlets must be installed at 18” AFF unless otherwise noted (G002). Per Owner direction, one outlet was included as shown on detail 01/A101. The goal is to utilize the same existing circuit of the lights to be demolished, however the Airport is open to pulling a new circuit off of the lighting panel (H2C located in Room C211 just above the space and EH2C) utilizing a spare in the lighting panel. Pictures of the panel are located below.

Question: good morning, I am going through jobs this morning and am wondering if the addition of the sconce lighting is an item to be bid on seperatly as i am only an electrical contractor and that is all i am wanting to do for the project.
Response: The project is a lump sum bid to include electrical work of removing lights, adding wall sconces with switch and wall outlet. A list of potential bidders has been included in this addendum for entities that downloaded the bid documents in case General Contractors and Subcontractors are looking for teaming partners.
