📍 Project Overview
The City of Etowah is soliciting quotations from qualified contractors for the demolition and site clearance of a single-family residential structure located at 1010 Pennsylvania Ave, Etowah, TN. The structure has been deemed unsafe and non-compliant with the Etowah Municipal Code and the 2012 International Property Maintenance Code.
🧱 Site Conditions
Based on field inspection, the structure exhibits the following:
Structural Integrity
• Cracked and uneven foundation with signs of settlement and fatigue
• Roof system deterioration: missing shingles, water intrusion, sagging
• Exterior walls: cracked, warped, and missing siding exposing framing
• Windows and doors: broken, unsecured, or missing
• Approximately 1370 square feet
Utilities & Systems
• No active electrical service; outdated and hazardous wiring
• No operational water supply; non-functional plumbing
• No functioning HVAC systems
Environmental & Safety Hazards
• Interior mold, animal intrusion, and signs of prolonged vacancy
• Vegetation intrusion: overgrowth and tree encroachment
• General habitability: fails sanitation, ventilation, and structural standards

🛠 Scope of Work
The selected contractor shall:
• Obtain all necessary permits and comply with local/state regulations
• Disconnect and cap all utilities safely
• Perform full demolition of structure and accessory buildings (if applicable)
• Remove all debris, hazardous materials, and vegetation from site
• Grade and stabilize the lot post-demolition
• Provide erosion control and site safety measures during work
