Question 1

Posted: 9/18/2023

Question: Can the 30 page limit be 11x17 format? Proposals should be limited to no more than Thirty (30) single-sided pages.

Response: Pages should be 8.5" x 11" in size.

Question 2

Posted: 9/27/2023

Question: Is this master plan funded by the SCCB Grant: $650,000.00? If so, what portion of the budget is design/planning vs. implementation and construction?

Response: It is not grant funded. We have budgeted for this process in our current FY 23/24. We have other local groups who have committed to contributing as well.

Question 3

Posted: 9/27/2023

Question: Should we omit any fees related to community engagement for the fee spreadsheet? Should the proposer still include information in our proposal about our community engagement recommendations and process?

Response: Please include those fees in the proposal.

Question 4

Posted: 9/27/2023

Question: Do you or are planning have an environmental report on the site?

Response: We have a report provided by Open Space Institute when the property was acquired.

Question 5

Posted: 10/9/2023

Question: The park site is in a fairly remote area and closer to Lake City than Florence. Where would you anticipate public meetings and workshops be held?

Response: Lake City and “Lower Florence” is where the public meetings should be held. Not opposed to inviting other Florence County citizens to participate.

Question 6

Posted: 10/9/2023

Question: Can you estimate a range of the number of people who might be expected to attend the public meetings and workshops? We ask this because we need to have adequate staff to facilitate break-out groups.

Response: The more people involved the better. If I had to guess participation, 20 would be a safe number. That’s how many people attended our community meetings in that area for our needs assessment survey.

Question 7

Posted: 10/9/2023

Question: Has a schedule been set or are there critical milestones?

Response: I would like to have a plan shaping up in time for Penny Sales consideration.

Question 8

Posted: 10/9/2023

Question: Has a fee for the project been budgeted yet? And if so, can you provide that amount?

Response: Florence County do not release the budget amount of its project in its solicitations.

Question 9

Posted: 10/9/2023

Question: Can the fee provided be a range, until a scope has been refined?

Response: A fee schedule is preferred. Also fee options will be accepted.
