       The City of Kingman is soliciting sealed bids from licensed, qualified firms to construct and install a novelty drive-through sign in the shape of a US Route 66 Shield which will allow vehicles to drive under and park for photo opportunities. This sign will provide an attraction for travelers who visit the Kingman Powerhouse Visitor Center.

  The City of Kingman will accept sealed Bids from qualified firms at the office of the City Clerk at 310 North Fourth Street, Kingman, AZ 86401, until 3:00 PM Local Time on Thursday, January 28, 2021.  Bids will be opened and read aloud.  Bids received after the deadline will be returned unopened. 

       Project Description: The project is located 120 W. Andy Devine Avenue at the entrance of the Kingman Powerhouse Visitor Center. The work generally consists of constructing and installing a drive-through sign in the shape of a US Route 66 Shield. The sign will contain language and lighting according to the specifications outlined in the bid information. This sign will be constructed so that drivers may park beneath it for photo opportunities for route 66 enthusiasts. Excavation and paving will be done by others. Electricity is provided to the site, successful bidder will be required to install proper circuitry to operate the lighting on the sign. Certain aspects of the sign lighting will be neon.  Work shall be completed within 130 calendar days, beginning with the day after the starting date specified in the Notice to Proceed.

The right is hereby reserved to accept or reject any or all bids or parts thereto, to waive any informality in any proposal and reject the bids of any persons who have been delinquent or unfaithful to any contract with the City of Kingman.

The City will conduct a mandatory Pre-Bid Conference at 120 Andy Devine, Kingman Powerhouse Visitor Center, Kingman Arizona, the powerhouse meeting room on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 beginning at 2:00 p.m. local time.  Bidders who do not attend the pre-bid conference will not be considered at the bid opening.
