Overview: We have completed our process for the recommendation of Social Studies Curriculum Resource per our RFP. Our review process included: • Determination of candidates for stakeholder review. o The Instructional Rubric within the RFP was used to select candidates that would move to the Virtual Showcase for feedback/input. • Virtual Showcase and Stakeholder Input. o Feedback focused on disciplinary concepts and practices; instructional and assessment strategies; and accessibility. This was not a scoring round, feedback and input only. • Final deliberation by our Steering Committee. o Committee met with vendors for a Question and Answer Session. This was a follow up to the Virtual Showcase and accessing demonstration accounts. The top two vendors moved to the final scoring. The committee used the priority content of the Instructional Rubric, as outlined previously. Our Steering Committee made the determination K-12 to recommend Savvas to the Fayette County Board of Education for approval. We appreciate the time spent and cooperation demonstrated during our review process.
