Meriwether County, Georgia is accepting sealed bids for the South Depot Street Sidewalk Project.  A copy of the complete Bid Package is available at the Meriwether County Board of Commissioners’ Office at 17234 Roosevelt Highway Building B, Greenville, GA 30222 or by contacting the County Administrator at t.gay@meriwethercountyga.gov.

 

Sealed bids will be accepted until 12:00 noon on Friday, August 30th, 2019 at the Meriwether County Board of Commissioner’s Office at 17234 Roosevelt Highway, Building B, Greenville, GA 30222 during normal business hours.  Upon expiration of time for receipt of bids, all bids will be opened and publicly read aloud.  No bid may be withdrawn after closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after bid opening date.  All bids shall be submitted sealed and clearly marked on exterior of package as follows:

The attached Bid Package addresses the project descriptions, specifications, bonding requirement, and timelines for completion.

 

Please note that a mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on August 14, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at the project site.

 

Any additional questions or clarifications may be addressed to the County Administrator, Theron Gay, at t.gay@meriwethercountyga.gov on or before 5:00 p.m. August 16th, 2019.  Answers to all questions and clarifications will be forwarded via email to all contractors who have requested or who have received the bid package.

 

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount no less than five (5%) of the total base bid.  Additional bonding requirements are outlined in the bid documents.

 

Project begins at station 19+46 and ends at station 22+00

Construction easement acquisition will be the responsibility of the contractor.

Sidewalk borderers are to be rectangular concrete Pavers. See symbol C sheet #7.

Hexagonal Concrete Pavers are provided

Rectangular concrete pavers and all other materials will be the responsibility of the Contractor.

Granite slabs are to be carefully removed and neatly stacked on pallets in the vacant lot next to the new concrete pavers stock, for the City of Greenville.

Landscape areas shown for plants and trees are to be filled with soil and 3” shredded pine mulch or equal. (no shrubs or trees)

Any pavement markings that are removed during demolition and construction must be replaced.

Bid shall include the replacement of any damaged asphalt, and/or asphalt removed within the scope of work necessary for completion of this project.
